1) Listen to understand. Don't listen to respond.

2) Witness and validate the feelings and emotions shared

3) Avoid fixing or minimizing what they feel. Avoid 'silver-lining' the situation

4) Practice being truly, fully present and mindful

5) Allow all feelings and emotions to be there

6) Engage in radical acceptance

7) Create a safe container for all parts of them

8) Support their own intuition, knowledge and wisdom

9) Trust that they can take care of their needs
