Extending wellness into your living environment

In your journey towards transformation and self mastery, you ideally need an environment that is supportive both externally and internally. While we teach you how to shift to a supportive place internally, if your external environment is chaotic, chances are your work will be twice as hard and could take much longer. It is natural for your outer world to echo your inner world, and in this case, we will use this as tool to mindfully affect your outer environment in order to aid and facilitate your inner work.

The spaces we inhabit usually tend to distract us. They are the manifestation of our inner world and usually out of order. A chaotic environment destroys your focus and makes it harder for you to achieve your goals. We need environments that inspire us to do our best work; relax and calm us during times of rest, and facilitate the flow and circulation of energy for our best health.

Each one of us is a unique being with very different habits, for whom very different things hold meaning. We have different patterns, unique rhythms that we embody in our homes. Where we live and how we live matters as much as the food we eat and the air we breathe. Our homes are supposed to be our sanctuaries- a place where we can truly integrate with our most authentic selves, and a repository of everything that holds meaning in our lives.

We offer services around rearrangement and organisation within your home to create a friendly, relaxing environment, perfectly aligned with your unique self. These are by request. Please get in touch.

The home is not a machine to live in- an assemblage of rectilinear spaces to put our things and fit ourselves into. Homes are so much more than that. Where we live, and how we live is an extension of our person. A home is an embodiment of our aspiration and the source of our inspiration. A home is how we define ourselves in private.  Our home is our quiet place, and our sacred space.

A home is almost an organism - ever evolving, sensorial, sartorial, tactile, an experience of yourself outside of the self. Our private space needs to facilitate equilibrium, and forge and sustain our connection with the elements- air, fire, water, earth and ether.

Human habitat has been commodified beyond repair. We find the same generic types of habitat, with the same, rectilinear layouts, same electrical points in the same spots, and we wonder why we cant transcend the sameness of our lives. the generic home neither accommodates our living processes optimally nor facilitates community effectively.

Should you peruse any of the books on ancient architecture, you would understand the attention rigor and given design in those days. Scale, proportion, flow, detail, enclosure, light, shadow etc. all were given importance. Architecture tended more towards art and uniqueness than ease of replication. We have mostly lost the art of creating the environment around the user these days.

In the journey of self improvement, it is important after a point to begin to embody all aspects of the life that you want. As a part of this, it is wise to give careful consideration to your living space to greatly amplify your creative potential and relaxation. There are evidence based techniques for creating the optimum environment to induce better sleep, higher creativity and serenity. Arts like  the Feng Shui and Vaastu have been around for centuries and all speak about energy flow and the relationship of the habitat with nature and the elements.

As part of the program for self mastery, by request,  I offer a  service called inhabit where we conceptualize your personal environment in collaboration with you, creating a bespoke design based on, and supportive of your desires and goals. This service is for fresh projects or renovations, and is limited to a concept package only. Please get in touch.
